Wanda Kendall "Camp 911" activities

| Message from the Principal. . .
Our major goal at Wanda Kendall School is to offer the highest quality of
education to our second and third grade students. In order to
accomplish this, my staff and I strive to provide a school environment that
is not only conducive to learning but promotes safety, teamwork,
cooperation, kindness and constructive, loving discipline throughout the
building and on the school grounds.
I believe the
greatest success is achieved in a child's education when parents and
educators responsibly work together side by side. It is essential for
parents to support what is happening in school so children can respect
authority and more readily develop their academic skills and build strong
character in their lives.
For the upcoming
school year our academic goals all involve the increase of our students'
skills in reading, math and writing. We continue to have a special
mission to make sure all of our students are improving in their ability to
read so all Wanda Kendall students will be reading at the appropriated grade
level or above. Parents can be of great help in this by reading at
home on a regular basis, taking your child to the library and by working at
home on "word wall" words.
I look
forward to a great year and encourage you to visit our lovely facility at
535 E. Porter at any time.
